Chrissy Teigen is undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments in an effort to expand her family.
The TV presenter took to Instagram on Saturday to post a photo of herself doing a Pilates-style workout and, in the accompanying caption, shared that she was halfway through the egg retrieval process.
“hiiii. I’ve talked about this in my stories, but wanted to let you know that I’m thrust into another round of IVF to save as many eggs as possible and hopefully create strong, healthy embryos “, she wrote. “I honestly don’t mind the shots…they make me feel like a doctor/chemist…but the bloating is ab**ch, so I humbly beg you to stop asking me if I’m pregnant because as long as I know it’s said with horny good intentions, it just kinda sucks to hear because I’m the opposite of a pregnant!”
Additionally, Chrissy urged her followers to stop asking others if they were pregnant or planning on having children, and hinted that she was considering surrogacy in order to have another baby.
“Please stop asking people, anyone, if they are pregnant. I said it in the comments and got yelled at because the internet is wild, but I prefer to be the one who tells you and not a poor woman who will look you in the eye through tears and that’s how you finally learn,” added the 36-year-old.
Chrissy and her musician husband John Legend are parents to five-year-old daughter Luna and three-year-old son Miles. However, the star suffered a devastating stillbirth in September 2020, months after announcing she was pregnant with her third child, a boy she was planning to name Jack.
In December 2020, Chrissy revealed that she felt “sad” to never be pregnant again.
