‘And Yet You’re So Kind’ Manga Gets a Live-Action Movie E! News UK


Kodansha announced on Tuesday that Kujira Ananit is And yet you’re so kind (Na no ni, Chigira-kun ga Amasugiru) manga inspires a live-action movie that will be released in Japan on March 3, 2023.

Mei Hata (live action Useless days of high school girlson the right in the visual below) will play the heroine Maaya Kisaragi, while Naniwa Danshi idol unit member Kyōhei Takahashi (BL Metamorphosisleft) will play Sui Chigira.

Takehiko Shinjo is directing the film, with a screenplay by Haruka Ōkita. Shochiku distribute the film.

Kodansha comics has licensed the manga and is releasing it digitally. The company describes the manga:

16-year-old Maaya Kisaragi finally confessed her crush…only to be outright rejected and ridiculed on social media. To make matters worse, the most popular guy in her class, Chigira-kun, overheard her mumbling despondently about the whole thing. But instead of laughing at her, he comforts her…and offers a strange solution to her grief!

Anan launched the manga in Kodanshait is Dessert magazine, and it’s in progress. Kodansha released the manga’s seventh compiled book volume on June 13. Kodansha comics released the fifth volume in English on January 18.
