Evangeline Lilly contributed to the screenplay of Ant-Man – Film News | Film-News.co.uk

Evangeline Lilly contributed a lot to the script of “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”.

The 42-year-old star reprized her role as Hope van Dyne/Wasp in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film and revealed how the studio is bringing a lot of creativity to her in the blockbuster.

Evangeline told Forbidden Planet TV: “I have a lot of opinions and I would like to share them and I would like to give you my opinion on all of this.

“And doing it with confidence and doing it with clarity, instead of, before I even speak, already… brushing my own ideas under the rug, which is an old habit for me. Like, ‘Yeah, that’s probably not it’s not a very good idea, but…” or “You don’t have to use this, I’ll just tell you what it is…””

The ‘Crisis’ star praised Marvel for giving him the “empowering” opportunity to discuss his ideas with movie bosses.

Evangeline explained: “It’s really annoying because you make yourself vulnerable to someone who doesn’t like it, without saying, ‘You might not like it and that’s fine.

“And it was really empowering for me to be heard and to see my ideas really, really, really well received and valued, and then to see them end up in the final script.”

The film’s writer, Jeff Loveness, previously described a dramatic action scene involving Evangeline’s superhero in the film – which is slated for release in July 2023.

He recalls: “I had one of those things where I felt like a Frenchman watching this movie on the train.

“There was a convoluted racing sequence where the wasp, very small, she flies, she goes through the forest and the camera moves with her and she follows on screen, so it looks like a legit shot from the film, and it It’s very shocking to have this gigantic screen that moves like a camera.

“Especially in glasses, I don’t recommend throwing an Occulus over your head and jumping into an all-CG environment.”
