Jack Black Used To Think He Was A Bad Actor Film-News.co.uk

Jack Black used to think he was a bad actor.

The 52-year-old movie star enjoyed a decades-long career in Hollywood with hits such as ‘School of Rock’ and ‘Nacho Libre’, but admitted that when he started out he thought he was ‘awful’ until he sees the final cut in cinemas.

He said: “I remember the first movie I did. I saw a rough cut and I was like, ‘Oh my god, I’m a bad actor. I’m horrible. And then the publisher just did some magic, and at the end, when it came out in theaters, I was like, “Oh my god, I’m fantastic. I’m fantastic as an actor!” “

The ‘Kung Fu Panda’ star went on to explain that everything was “magical” in post-production and claimed the editors weren’t getting the credit they deserved.

He told Collider, “The editor strips all the fat, which is crucial work. People don’t celebrate the editor!”

Meanwhile, Jack admitted that while it would be “cool” to step behind the camera and become a director, he prefers to be the one who “puts on a show”.

He said: “At the end of the day, I like to put on a show. I don’t know if I would like to be a director. It would be cool to be a director, just because of the respect you get. It would be cool to being Paul Thomas Anderson or Taika Waititi, where people look up to you and respect you. But I don’t know if I really want the job.”
