Shawn Levy Directs Deadpool 3 – Movie News |

Shawn Levy is directing ‘Deadpool 3’.

Ryan Reynolds – who plays the titular Marvel blockbuster anti-hero – has confirmed he’s reuniting with the director of ‘Free Guy’ and ‘The Adam Project’ on the third film.

The 45-year-old actor tweeted a snap from “Deadpool” and tweeted, “The third movie in my Shawn Levy trilogy will be a bit more stabbing.”

Ryan worked on the script with ‘Bob’s Burgers’ screenwriters, the Molyneux sisters – Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin and Wendy Molyneux – and previously admitted he had “a lot” of fun during their regular sessions.

He said: “It’s something that’s just a daily process. Writing is a bit like that, you have to allocate time to do it and walk away, and I’m working with the Molyneux on it, it was awesome.

“They are incredibly talented and so smart. They understand this world so much and know how to zigzag when everyone is expecting a zag, so it’s been a lot of fun.

Meanwhile, Ryan has just admitted he has no interest in directing himself.

The Hollywood star isn’t keen on following in the footsteps of his wife Blake Lively – who directed a music video for Taylor Swift – as he believes storytelling and production are more important.

He said: “I really don’t… I’m interested in storytelling in all ways and shapes and forms. Producing interests me in all ways and shapes and forms. Same with performance.

“And I work with guys like Shawn Levy. I don’t know why I would try to think I can do it myself. That would be silly.”

The ‘Just Friends’ star loves working with a director and wouldn’t want to miss that chance by stepping behind the camera.

Ryan explained: “I also really feel like, why would I deprive myself of this incredible collaborator? I just think it’s so important in everything I do. I never claim to be a person who decides unilaterally this or that .

“I love the creative process of having someone to bounce something off of. I love the creative process of trial and error, tearing something apart and putting it back together again. interest me the most, and I like doing it with someone.”

Shawn also talked about how Ryan is deeply invested in the creative process when making a blockbuster.

The filmmaker said: “I really have to say that obviously Ryan has been a famous actor and a star for a long time, but I’ve never had a real fellow producer by my side who was so additive and additive at every stage of it. process as Ryan.”
