Sylvester Stallone denies divorce filing stems from argument over dog – Film News |

Sylvester Stallone has dismissed a lawsuit suggesting his wife Jennifer Flavin filed for divorce after an argument over a dog.

According to the editorial staff of TMZ, the former model asked Friday to end her marriage to the Hollywood actor in court in Florida.

In the documents, Flavin said the union was “irretrievably broken” and that she wanted the assets amassed during the marriage to be “fairly divided” between them.

Sources also told TMZ on Wednesday that Stallone recently wanted to get a Rottweiler “for protection,” which reportedly led to a disagreement that raised broader issues within the relationship.

However, Stallone later released a statement in which he denied the speculation.

“We didn’t end the relationship over such a petty argument,” the 76-year-old said. “We just went in different directions. I have the greatest respect for Jennifer. I will always love her. She’s an amazing woman. She’s the kindest human being I’ve ever met. ”

Split rumors started circulating earlier this month when tattoo artist Zach Perez shared a photo of himself covering a portrait of Flavin on Stallone’s left arm. He also shared a preview of the final design – an image of Stallone’s dog, Butkus, from the 1976 movie Rocky.

Meanwhile, Flavin sparked rumors about the status of her relationship with Stallone when she shared a photo of her and their daughters Sophia, 25, Sistine, 24, and Scarlet, 20, with the caption “We 4 forever”.

“These girls are my priority. Nothing else matters. We 4 forever. #truth #family #forever,” she wrote in the caption.

Stallone and Flavin married in 1997.

The Expendables star was also married to Sasha Czack between 1974 and 1985 and Brigitte Nielsen from 1985 to 1987.
