Vanessa Hudgens is working on an unscripted film about witchcraft – Film News |

Vanessa Hudgens is set to release an unscripted film about witchcraft, titled Dead Hot.

The tick, tick… Boom! The star had her BFF GG Magree trailed by cameras on a recent eight-day trip to Salem, Massachusetts.

Hudgens and Magree are self-taught witchcraft students, but decide to seek proper mentorship and training after a “supernatural” experiment in Northern California goes awry.

In Dead Hot: Season of the Witch, the couple learn about witchcraft, hunt ghosts, and attempt to connect with the spirit world. Footage from their trip will be released as a 90-minute unscripted film.

The film’s storyline describes it as an “intimate journey into the supernatural realm” and a “coming-of-age story that explores identity, female power, and sisterhood.”

The Bunim-Murray Productions team is producing the film, with Banijay Rights – a subsidiary of Bunim-Murray Productions’ parent company, Banijay – handling distribution.

Bunim-Murray Productions president Julie Pizzi explained Hudgens and Magree’s interest in witchcraft in a statement.

“They’ve been doing little spells since they were kids, and they were really, really into this world,” she said. “As we got to know them, we realized that their curiosity to connect with the spirit realm and paranormal and supernatural exploration was so much deeper than ghost hunting. witty.”
