Netflix India recently released a video titled The Roast of Vijay Varma. Part of the video in which Vijay roasts himself was shared on Instagram. In the clip, Vijay talks about his recent movie Darlings and says his face isn’t good enough for posters but brings something else to his movies. In the video, Vijay says, “You must have watched Darlings. It’s true that my face isn’t good enough for the posters and even if it’s there, it’s hidden somewhere in the posters. But in the scenes, this face becomes unforgettable. All these f***ers say I’m not a star. I am not a star. It’s weird because they cast me in the movies to have that extra star in the reviews. I am that star.

In Darlings, Vijay tried out for the role of Alia Bhatt’s abusive husband, Hamza. The actor received a lot of appreciation for his role in the film. In an interview with Prabhat Khabar, Vijay spoke about his success and his family’s reaction. He said: “They don’t have much regard for it. My mother is a simple and very normal woman. She is mostly busy with her work. Yes, they are now assured that I will not die because of the hungry and that I can earn a living. comfortably. Every time my mom calls me on video, she tells me I’ve lost weight. She always asks me if I’m not eating right.

After making his acting debut with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s short film titled Shor, Vijay worked in several films including Chittagong before making his breakthrough with the 2016 film Pink. Since then, he has landed several interesting roles and was also appreciated for his work. He has worked in Super 30, Gully Boy, Baaghi 3, Bamfaad, Ghost Stories and Hurdang.
